VOX Press Artists Series
The VOX Press Artists Series, established in 2009, invites residents of Lafayette County and North Mississippi to enjoy free literary readings, professional class performances, and innovative presentations, featuring both established and emerging writers, artists, and musicians.
The highly successful series has featured the likes of Neil White, John Brandon, Glennray Tutor, and Barry Hannah. With the generous support of the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council, the VOX Artist’s Series has become a welcome addition to Oxford’s unique literary culture.
The VOX Artists Series prides itself on creating an atmosphere of intimacy and authenticity allowing for a unique exchange between artist and audience. Presented in a relaxed gallery setting, the Artist Series strives to blur the line separating performer and viewer, inviting the audience to actively participate in conversations with featured artists. Events feature multiple artists of varying but complementary media, offering audiences a wide array of artistic exposure. Promoting artists both in-state and beyond, VOX helps facilitate cultural exchange between artists and audiences around the country, giving the organization a state-wide and national literary presence.
